I have a friend thats counting her work calories! I like to know if that counts as a burn or just your normal day? I took my HRM to work just to see how much I burn and I was surprise that I burn bout 530 in 3 hours!!!! To me I wouldn't count them because its what I do every day. Sho what do you guys say bout it?

I think it depends on your settings like if you're lightly active, or sedentary, or blah blah blah...?

You aren't supposed to count them. It asks you in your settings if you are active, slightly active, sedentary. or something like that.

I work on my feet 4-5 days a week for 5-9 hours a day. I have my activity level set higher to accommodate what I do at work. I only log true exercise (stuff that gets my heart rate up). Since my body is used to my job - I find it works better to just keep my activity level up.

I know that I burn a ton of calories at work - but I don't keep track of them or eat them back. I've just raised my overall calorie level to reflect it.

The easiest way to account for this is to set your activity level to reflect your busy work shedule. This will give you more calories each day to make up for your more active lifestyle.
Then you only have to add extra exercise.

Or, if you want to, you can set your activity level as sedentary, then log your work plus any extra activities you do, but I think this would be a bit more tedious! I'm also not sure how accurate your HRM is for measuring calories burned when you are working (I'm assuming that there is a bit of stop/starting in your job) I think there are other devices that do a better job at this.
