horrid week...

So, I had one great week, and one not so great week. Grumpy, tired, ate whatever, didn't work out. The only reason I'm posting this is to keep myself accountable so it doesn't turn into another bad week. My attitude was a bit better today, and I'm planning on working out when I get off work. I started by logging my food for today so far - I work nights, so I start my day at midnight. I'm going to weigh in when I get home because Friday mornings are my weigh in time, but I'm not looking forward to it. I just hate that I lost my motivation so quickly. Sorry so bummy...

The important thing is to never give up.... When I have an off week, I looked back at all the days where I ate healthier and stayed under my calorie limit and know that it was better than if I had just eaten everything, and that is when I decide to start again because I know that I never want to be like that. Eating healthy and reasonably 3/4 weeks of the month is better than not doing it at all =P
Be proud of those weeks you exercised and maintained a proper diet, because when you do that, it makes you more likely to restart doing it after a bad week.0 -
I'm having the same week, I think I'm PMSing too. You need more friends to encourage you and make your diary public if you really want to be accountable. My friends look at each others diaries and never say anything discouraging. They might say "Fudge for breakfast, now thats my kind of meal!"

I think we all get ups and downs, don't beat yourself up. I can't believe that after a couple months I have lost 20 lbs. I'm excited, because I'm doing this for me. You'll do what's right for you, and you'll feel good about yourself. Don't give up. It doesn't sound like you want to give up anyway. :flowerforyou:0

Hey the good thing about each morning is that's it's new. Forget about the past and use it as an experience. WE all tend to fall at some point. Just member NEVEr GIVE UP!!! Your health is very important and a gift from God.0

It is really hard sometimes.
Yet, just pick a day and start anew. That is all you can do.
This is a journey and you are bound to fall down alot before you make it to the top. By god what a pretty sight that top will be.
Good luck, and try to channel the negative energy into postive!0 -
Yup, some weeks are like that.
I think you have two choices - one is to say that "this just proves that it's all too hard."
The other is to say "well, that was a crap week, at least the next one is going to be better!".0 -

I think I'm going to shoot for choice #2.0 -
you've acknowledged it, now accept it and move on, all that matters is today.

Thanks everybody. This is why I love MFP. On my own, this bad week would have lasted indefinitely. But, my last good day was Monday, and today is Friday, so it's the shortest slump I've ever had! Thanks for all the encouragement0

I just did my weigh in and gained a pound this week.A bummer, but not as bad as I was expecting, since I also have a "monthly hormonal issue" going on right now. haha... Thank for all your motivation and kindness. I've already worked out and I'm logging my food again. Not going to let this stop me!0
