So I am new to MFP as of this week so far I have lost 1.6.. I am trying this out for a week or so to see how I like it.. Any advise is greatly appreciated..

and congratulations on your 1.6 pounds lost!!! My only advise is to have realistic goals such as no more than 2 lbs a week. Don't worry about how fast it comes off, stick with it and you will start to see the results. Add friends who have already lost a great deal of weight, they will help keep you motivated through your journey. Don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day, just do better the next. Measure yourself now and in 3 months do it again, it will help you if your weight loss should happen to slow down or plateau. Most of all love yourself right now. I wish you all the best

Welcome to MFP, my advice is to read through the boards, take advantage of the food diary, get some friends to help keep you motivated. This is a pretty nice site.0

Welcome to MFP! This site/phone app are great at keeping me honest. My first week I was really surprised at how much junk and extra calories I ate every day. Now that I am logging everything I put in my mouth and exercising the weight is coming off and I am rarely hungry.
