Welcome to MFP :) and congratulations on your 1.6 pounds lost!!! My only advise is to have realistic goals such as no more than 2 lbs a week. Don't worry about how fast it comes off, stick with it and you will start to see the results. Add friends who have already lost a great deal of weight, they will help keep you motivated through your journey. Don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day, just do better the next. Measure yourself now and in 3 months do it again, it will help you if your weight loss should happen to slow down or plateau. Most of all love yourself right now. I wish you all the best :)

Welcome to MFP, my advice is to read through the boards, take advantage of the food diary, get some friends to help keep you motivated. This is a pretty nice site.

Welcome to MFP! This site/phone app are great at keeping me honest. My first week I was really surprised at how much junk and extra calories I ate every day. Now that I am logging everything I put in my mouth and exercising the weight is coming off and I am rarely hungry.

  • Started mfp today. Hope this works. I have 28 pounds to lose, just can't get motivated. Looks like a good site.
