    Mornin Gang

Well as others have shared unfortunately there's no certain thing we can do to spot reduce but from 'before, during and after pics' of other members you'll notice they look more toned... so doing some form of strength training does HELP...it certainly has for me! It doesn't just give the illusion it actually builds up your biceps and triceps which in turn tones your upper arm area.

If it's fat you're looking to lose in the arm area...the above will work great!! Muscle burns Fat..YAY! So the more muscle we accumulate in our body the more fat is continually burned even when we're not working out!:drinker:

If you're talking about lose skin under your arms...:noway: well, not much you can do about that other than keep on waving and asking for donations for surgery?:cry::grumble: :noway:   ....to tighten up the flab....

We'll see what other have to say this morning...but I've learned the above from the wonderful :flowerforyou: smarty pants gang on here:flowerforyou: ....Psyknife, SongBSweet, & Jeannie:heart: they've helped so much in sharing what's worked for them...

duct tape?:blushing: :noway: ok, no I know it's frustrating, though fortunately I can really see a HUGE difference in my underarm area from doing bicep and tricep workouts... I started weights for toning from about a month after I began healthy eating and I think that's a HUGE key for those starting out to know...or at any point really though if at all possible to do when a person first starts out ...then you tone as the weight drops off ...if you have a fair bit of weight to lose, toning will get you far!!

Strength training is as big a deal as cardio workouts, getting in enough water, clean eating and keeping it positive as we learn to care about ourselves...:flowerforyou::heart::drinker:

yeah... i mean, i'm early in this whole process, and i've been eating well and i plan on doing cardio and strength training. so, with time, i'm sure all of that well help. but i just notice that that area in particular is something that i want to tone up. so i figured perhaps doing some weight lifting or those machines at the gym where you pull the weights from behind you or something will work?

Kickboxing has worked for me. The arm jabs and punches have toned me up quite a bit. Also, good old fashioned push ups!

I've recently started doing weight assisted pull ups and dips on the machine at the gym. (Weight assisted = not lifting my entire body weight, just a portion of it) I have noticed a HUGE difference in the tone of my arms. If I flex just a little, I no longer have wiggly underarm flaps!!

One thing that I do is a great uppper body workout- as a bonus, it also gets your heart rate up and works core, butt and thighs.

I go up and down the stairs at my gym or at my house holding a 10lb dumbell over my head. Try it- it rocks!
