:drinker: ...It's the continuous up and down the stairs to the loo that really does it!!!

    Ha!
  • No, put I feel it helps. I hit a plateau for about two months. Kicked up my water intake and it has been coming off again. Seems to help me anyways.

Water definitely does help! I try to drink at least 9 everyday.
You have flush the toxins out. What you eat is very important
and if you eat junk then you should increase the water.
    Yes you do pee alot:blushing:

What gets me is that the peppermint tea isn't counted but still causes just as many trips up those stairs!!!

Evening Sallie... Thanks for pointing out the FOUR cups of water! :grumble:

I was just thinking about this earlier today. I think that in the space of two hours, I went to the restroom about 4 times.

And water is very hard for me to drink, it's just so... so... PLAIN. :grumble:

Maude, if it helps I do think it gets a bit easier with practice
(sorry to the squeemy people out there ....) ... perhaps your bladder stretches a bit or something so you can hold a bit more?

It took me ages of practice to get up to 8 glasses and I found it REALLY hard in the beginning so I think you are doing great on your first day:flowerforyou:

This is probably TMI, but it reminds me of when I was in college and all the drunk frat guys would talk about "breaking the seal" while drinking beer. I'm fine until I go to the restroom the first time. After that, it's literally every 30 minutes.

I definitely am wearing a path out to the restroom. I work upstairs in a loft while it is downstairs, so I definitely get some burn in there!

Yup, the stairs are creaking more than ever before!!!

Sallie, don't set me a challenge... I ALWAYS try to rise to it... Unless of course there is chocolate, or ice-cream or cookies, or... did I mention chocolate involved?!!!

PS I've decided to slow down now... I need to sleep tonight!
  • I have a app on my phone that reminds me to drink water throughout the day....It cheers when I get to 8cups lol

lol, DITTO! totally reminds me of that. I'm fine until that first pee, then it's non stop all day every 30 mins or so. GAAH!

Of course peppermint tea is counted! Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply repeating myths that are not backed up by research.

How does your body know you didn't drink two glasses of water and happen to eat a mint at around the same time? Answer: it doesn't. There is nothing magical about drinking pure H2O as opposed to the water content in other foods and drinks.

Obviously anything alcoholic is dehydrating so should not be counted and you should not rely on mostly highly caffienated drinks for your water consumption because they have diuretic properties.
