One Size Too Small

My friend, Natalie, is going to be in a wedding next month. When she ordered the bridesmaid dress a few months ago, she thought she'd be super clever, and order it a size too small. Brilliant, right? Forced weight loss, right?

So, about a week ago, when the dress finally came in, GUESS WHAT? She couldn't zip it. And now, here we are. She is getting all serious about this weight loss thing, and I'm getting on board with her. For one, I'm super overweight and need to lose at least 60 pounds. But also, because if I don't get on board, she's going to drive me crazy with all the calorie counting, and talking about how much weight she's lost, and how many ounces of water she drank today, etc.

What crazy things have you done, to force you into a weight loss program?

That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid! I was in a wedding in '06 - ordered the dress right after I split with my husband, and by the time the wedding rolled around, the dress that had fit so well after my life-crisis diet no longer zipped up so easily. I was miserable the whole time, and afraid to sit down. I really don't want that to happen this time.
