Excercise when:

So don't get me wrong: I would love to get some excercise done so that I can feel like I am doing more than dropping a few calories a day. Unfortuinately for me, those excercise sessions I would like to accomplish are all but impossible unless done inside. It is 110 out there as I am typing this.
Yes, maybe I am whining about the heat, but really, 110? That's not excercis. It's heatstroke.
I would love to be able to get outside and run around for a while...normally I'd say just go for it, but I found out recently from this digital scale I purchased that my water hydration level is 27% on average, no matter how much water I drink. What I have found from research is that fat has a much much lower concentration of water in it than does muscle or bone, etc.
So, for bigger people, being outside in the heat can actually be far more dangerous than for people who have lower BMI, or a higher muscle and other content to fat ratio.
Don't have any excercise equipment in my house, but I think I will attempt to do some crunches and push ups to counter that. Could walk around my living room for a while I suppose. And who knows...If I bring out a giant jug of ice water, maybe I can stand a half hour jog outside the house as soon as it cools off a bit.

You could simply walk in place. You can do that anywhere, doesn't require any space. Or Even stretching burns some calories. Just a couple ideas.....0

Do you have a game system? If so, there are some great workouts for that (I like EA Sports Active 2). If not, there's always workout DVDs!0

If you have a HRM you could create your own new workout: extreme heat walking
Just bring LOTS of water, wear sunscreen and take frequent breaks in the shade...oh and don't forget a hat.

jump rope indoors- it kills but it's such a workout0

I have the issue with the heat too (106 heat index here). I'm a big girl (trying to lose a 100 lbs). But I have excercise equipment indoors. But there are tons of things to do if you don't have a treadmill. You can get fitness dvds for cheap at stores, order used ones online, step up on a stair, anything that gets your heart rate up.
I know the heat is tough. But it's much cooler after the sun goes down/comes up. Take a walk then. Even if you can only stand the heat to do something for 10 mins at a time, anything is better than nothing....and I have to tell myself this constantly: There is always something that you can do and no excuse for doing nothing...
Good luck!0 -

I need to remind myself how true this is...0 -
Advice from a desert dweller: If you have to exercise outside do it right at sunrise. Coolest part of the day is the half hour after sunrise.
I live in LV, and 100 degrees is a fixture during the summer. Best of luck!0 -
interval training: run in place for 2 minutes, drop and give me 20, repeat for 10 - 15 minutes.
"jump rope" for 30 seconds, 5 burpees with a jump, repeat for 5 - 10 minutes
jumping jacks for 1 minutes, drop into mountain climber 1 minute, back up, etc
tell me how you feel.0
