I have started paying very close attention to what I eat and how that affects me and my weight. Before I thought I was eating healthy but I wasn't exercising and what I thought was healthy eating was in reality way too high in calories.

I finally broke through my first goal....getting out of the 190s and then the day after that was accomplished I stepped on the scale and was back over. I know that the body has normal fluctuations but why do I let it get to me so much?!?!? I almost get depressed over it and that makes me want to eat and start the cycle all over.

And why, oh why does ne of my favorite foods now start not playing nice with my body and causing constipation, which then adds to the number on the scale? And why do I have such a hard time just saying no to cheese and cutting it from my diet?

I know I'm not the only one that has these problems and I know that I need to take a step back from the scale and I know that I shouldn't worry about the normal fluctuations......but I guess the knowing doesn't make it easier, now does it.

I've been doing the same thing. But I'm finally seeing results even though my weight hasn't changed I"m still loosing inches! REMEBER: MUSCLE WEIGHT MORE THAN FAT! Even a bit of excersise is building muscle!

Congrats on hitting 190....I'm still 16 away....

Just stick to it and remember that what ever you gained when you did good or bad is probably water weight or dehydration or something to do with too much salt. I am stuck here at 190-195 for last 3 months (at least) but I have lost inches. With the 20 lbs I lost I went from size 20 to size 16 and soon I may have to go down to size 14 (probably a month or 2 at most) So my suggestion is to get a tape mesure and measure yourself that way. The scale may go up and down for weeks or months and it is frustraiting but if you measure yourself and see the inches melting I think you would be more positive in the long run.
