Post-poning my weight loss and eating healthy until the hurricane is over. Because right now I am eating a Snickers and getting OBLITERATED on wine while I watch the lake I live on right now have actual WAVES for the first time.

Anyone else indulging during this hurricane?

Haha if that's what you wanna do, more power to ya I guess! I'm used to 'em, so I won't really be doing anything different. We have a gas stove so I can still cook if the power goes, and car chargers for the phone so I can play games (times like this an iPhone comes in handy)

My brother lives in NC. In honor of him, I will be getting obliterated on wine later :drinker:

as a matter of fact i started yesterday and i will be having several cocktails in about 1.5 hours. I know I live in Texas but were all in America. All for one and one for all! :drinker:

In all seriousness, i pray that everyone is safe during Ms. Irene.

Let me tell you if I was gonna be having a hurricane where I lived I'd be eating whatever the heck I wanted... I don't wanna die knowing I didn't eat whatever I felt like that day. :P
  • Having been raised on the Gulf in FL, hurricanes were a way of life that I quickly tired of and moved to the mountains of NC where my fathers family lived. I remember the drill well...water, candles/lanterns, thermos of coffee, non--electric can opener, batteries and battery operated radio/tv. Oh yeah and stuff to make hurricanes (the drink)! Enjoy yourself, be safe and know that help is already on the way if needed...saw the trucks heading east on I-40 this morning heading to Goldsboro until dispatched where needed. Make sure the cell is charged and battery on laptop!
