Question for those who strength train too:
Do you do cardio before or after weight training? (during the same session that is)

I've done it both ways - and I've had better results doing strength training first and cardio second. :) But, that's just me.

I usually warm up for 10 mins on the treadmill. Then I do strength training (my new gym has an awesome circuit training circle that I like to do) for about 30 mins and then I'll do 20 mins either on the treadmill (running) or incline trainer.
  • I always do my weights first, followed by cardio. All the trainers I have spoken with recommend doing it this way to burn more fat duing the cardio workout.

I like doing 15 minutes before I do strength as a stretch out and get my heart beating, then I finish my cardio before I'm done

Oh, well I'm the opposite to everyone else then! I like to get my muscles warm with cardio before I do any strength!!

what supports that? I always combine the two.

I am the same way - I do 30 to 45 (even 60) cardio mins, then 30 - 45 strength training. I am not at my top strength though after cardio - but I remained injury free as well.
