Hi all!
I am trying to lose about a pound per week (I only have 8-10 to lose). I am eating 1400-1800 calories each day, plus I am burning between 500-700 in exercise. Is this going to allow me to lose the weight?
Thanks for you help

It depends on your lean body mass and your basic metabolic rate (how much energy your body requires during the day, even before you factor in exercise).0

I want to say yes, however I think your weight and caloric intake before you started your diet and exercise has to be factored into the equation to determine whether weight loss will occur. I am not sure though.0

Yields in the neighborhood of 1,800 - 2,000 calories per day.0 -
To lose weight you MUST have a deficit . For 1 pound the deficit is 3500 calories (over time).
So if you require 1400 calories to live normally and are eating between 1400-1800 and exercising off 500 -700 you are on the edge of losing weight at a slow steady pace.... For example if you eat 1800 and burn off 500 your net is 1300 for the day which means a deficit of 100 calories. If your deficit is normally around 100 calories per day, it would take you 35 days to lose 1 pound.
An easier way to figure it out is this... Look at your net calories on MFP at the end of the day and it needs to fall below 1400 for you to loose weight.
Good luck to you and I hope I made sense LOL0 -
Fantastic, thank you0
