How tastes change once you start eating better?

Post one thing that you miss being able to eat, and one thing that you definitely don't.

I do miss: Sugary soft drinks :sad:

I don't miss: White refined carbs (pasta, rice, bread etc). I'm craving wholegrains!

    I know exactly what your talking about. I am now at the in-laws for the hoidays and just made a turkey sandwich for lunch on...Duh Duh DUH...White bread! :noway:
    Looked at my wife and said.....man this bread just tastes so weird. Wish I had some wheat. lol :bigsmile:

    I miss both Bacon Cheese Burgers from the brewlry?sp? and Buffalo Boneless Chicken ..YUM!!!!!

    I do not miss Pizza or sweets...

    Guess that helped that I have never really been a sweets fan anyhow....sigh....

    The thing I notice was I was cravring hardee's hamburger and hadnt had one in months well I finally broke down and had one...guess what it didnt taste as good as it did before, now I could care less if I ever have one again..:laugh:

    I don't miss anything because I had an (Almost good) diet to start with but just ate too much without knowing :blushing: or thinking about how much I was eating.
    Now I log everthing and if I want more than my daily calorie allowance I just excercise more :laugh: problem solved.
    But for two weeks now I have not lost any weight :frown: am I plateauing? :noway: , if anyone can make a suggestion PLEASE DO :tongue: as I weigh in on Monday and DO NOT want to see no change AGAIN.Been at 10lb loss for almost three weeks now :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: :noway:

    I guess the food I miss most would be what I used to call "the breakfast of champions", a Snickers bar and a Mountain Dew. I still have the occasional fun-size Snickers, but lately even those have been too sickly sweet for me to eat. I haven't had a regular Mountain Dew in ages, the last time I took a sip of one it tasted like sugar water.

    The food I could live without for the rest of my life: anything from the Chinese take-out joint. I used to OD on that stuff two or three times a month, until I realized how much fat and sodium is in it.:noway: :noway: :sick: I crave the taste of it occasionally, but I make my own and I don't bread the chicken or deep fry the egg rolls, and use brown rice. Still not the healthiest entrée, but better than take-out.

    I have been trying to think of something that i miss. I can't really think of anything except gravy. just fat and flour so yeah no more of that but i do miss that or orange flavored cinnamon rolls from pilsbury kind of a toss up.

    what i don't miss that an even bigger question. i think chocolate would be the thing i just have not even cared about. never been a big fan.

    I miss Carne Asada Fries. (french fries, cheese, Guacamole, steak, FATTENING!!!)

    I am surprised that I don't miss my regular pepsi... actually SHOCKED is more like it. :huh:

    Mexican food still calls my name, LOUDLY!

    I don't miss fast food hamburgers (except in-n-out), or fried chicken.

    I dont miss eating anything because I still allow myself to eat whatever I want, either just a smaller portion or sometimes just one bite... but I dont think I should restrict myself from anything or else I would go CRAZY!

    I dont miss any foods, because I eat what I want. Just stay within my calories for each day.

    I do love all veggies and fruits, which I didnt eat prior to having it brought to my attn. Unless the french fries and let/tom/onion on the burger where veggies!!

    I do miss eating sweets to my hearts desire. My neighbor brought over Italian Wedding Cookies and I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!

    I thanked her and:sad: ..because I knew there was now going to be an enemy in my home. I looked up the calories and they are HIGH! I guess they are sugar and flour......compact. And loaded with powdered sugar on top. I am not sure if the cals are right on here but it said 1000 cals:noway: :noway: for 12 cookies!! I ate at least 24 last year, at 1 sitting!!!!NOT worth it.

    Tomorrow I will indulge in a few!! 3. That is my number!!
