Have you ever tried Melation tabs? They're natural, may help. I've had the same issues, partnered with shift work and haven't been sleeping much lately either. Good luck! Go for a massage!

I've stopped running for a while (injury) and am sleeping loads more. Not that I'm suggesting you exercise less!

maybe avoid coffee or wake up earlier so that you can go to sleep earlier

Scientific studies have found that those who exercise 4+ times a week have higher reported rates of insomnia. Do try playing around with what time of day you work out (i.e.: not afternoon/evening)

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you're also having extreme elevated mood ("top-of-the-world"/invincible/cocky) feelings, mixed with feeling more aggressive or irritable than usual, are driving more aggressively, feel a little more promiscous, self-censor less while speaking, care less about what others think of you, and/or are spending a bit recklessly... You are also within, but at the higher end of the age range for the onset of Bipolar disorder, though what you're describing would be signs of type 1 which is more common in males. But it does/can happen.

i usually work out in the evenings right after work and i don't drink coffee or energy drinks just iced tea no sugar or hot tea with honey. don't worry i didn't take your post the wrong way---no to those other symptoms especially feeling invincible/cocky. i have to admit that i do nap at work but it's the type of naps where i don't realize i nodded off. i think i'm going to try the melation tabs. thanks.
  • I had the same problem so I just started getting up very early and working out and then working out at lunch. After work I would have dinner, and fall asleep early. It took about a week to change my sleeping pattern completely but I feel much better doing it that way.
