Healthy Beer Choices in the UK

Hi guys.:D I'm asking this on behalf of a friend. I got him into MFP because it worked so well for me.

My friend often drinks beer with his friends, and doesn't want to give that up, for many reasons. In some ways, it can be a healthier choice, because it can be a choice between sitting at home and snacking, or spreading two beers out over a couple of hours.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for healthy beers? I'm a gin and southern comfort girl, so I don't know much about the subject, but I gather that beer does have several good points?

This is silly, but my friend doesn't want to stand in front of his friends and request something labelled diet, or light. And, for reference, he lives in Aberdeen, in Scotland.

Thank you!

If I have a beer (or three!) I stick to Carlsberg as it slightly less calorific than others.

If I'm drinking with friends at home, I get Coors Lights.

Yeah Coors is definitely better than most lagers, and a lot of the pubs sell if on draught or in bottles. Its nice too
