Luckily, I don't drink enough anymore to get hangovers!
but, it used to be
something greasy to eat before bed & a gatorade w/ 2 aspirins!!!
McDonalds food tends to help with hangovers for me, or taco bell (helps prevent them i mean)0 -
A fried egg cooked in lots of butter with a side of ginger ale. Ibuprofen and rest.0
-
Pedialyte.
I actually have a pharmacological-basis for my recommendation... but it's way too long to type out.
Also, if you chew a couple of glucose tablets before you start drinking and a couple before you go to bed.. that goes a long way to preventing a hangover.0 -
I don't really drink that much anymore, but in college I had two go-to hangover cures
Bojangles Cajun Chicken Sandwich & Sweet Tea
Bacon and Eggs cooked in Bacon Fat
So basically anything greasy
Or the age old answer.... Start drinking again0 -
The smoothie I have for breakfast works great0
-
anything greasy0

exersice! it sucks getting outta bed, but sweat it out!0

2 pints of grapefruit juice and then lay down for an hour or two.0

Take some milk of magnesia before drinking to coat your stomach and prevent absorption, then take two midol with a warm coke before bed. The midol will help with the queasiness and has a built in mild diuretic to help get the alcohol out of your system faster and the carbonation in the warm coke helps speed the breakdown of the midol so it works faster. Don't know if any of this true, but this is the cure-all in my neck of the woods.0

Most of that isn't true. The warm coke would work as well as a cold coke - it's the sugar that's helping. Alcohol inhibits ADH, so it's already acting as a diuretic.. The midol really just helps the headache. Alcohol isn't absorbed in the stomach - the milk of magnesia... I'm not sure how it'd help.0 -
A cold *kitten* shower0

MENUDO! Its the only thing that has ever worked for me.0

I get bad hangovers anymore, and if it is a mild hangover, a light jog followed by a dive into Lake Tahoe does the trick. The only thing that works for a bad hangover for me is sleep. And that is typically not an option.0

Soup, nap, then work out... in that order.0
-
It used to be McD's bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Now...I make sure I don't fall asleep completely wasted. I try to stay up as long as I can. Drink water, take an advil and call it a night.0

You get hangovers from dehydration, so around 2, 8oz cups of water before you go to bed will do the job. You will probably wake up a little drunk but no hangover.0
-
oatmeal and half a grapefruit.0

an Emergen-C packet, toast, and lots of water... then a nap and some light activity. hope ur feeling better soon :flowerforyou:0

Keep drinking! :drinker:0

There was a study around a year or so back (?) that pointed to coffee and ibuprofen.
I find gatorade helps.
Or if you're really desperate, a shot.0 -
Water and sleep. Boyfriend swears by fish and rice.0
-
mcdonalds!! large coke and 2 sausage breakfast burritos. wha-la!0
-
More alcohol or the greasiest food i can lay my hands on, washed down with a cup of tea0
-
Fruit, 24 oz of Coffee, 4 Advil then a 4 mile run in 50 minutes to sweat it out!0
-
Plenty of water while I'm drinking, afterwards, and the next morning. Eggs or toast for breakfast, then couple shots of whatever I had the day before, or just an ice cold beer.
If all else fails, KFC mashed potatoes and a sprite always help (for me).0 -
that powdered Hangover stuff they sell at jiffy stores helped me! lots and lots of water0

As unappealing as alcohol sounds with a hangover, drink a beer/bloodymary/mimosa. What ever you can stomach in the morning. The sickness is from withdrawl, and a drink or two will help wean your body off the toxin.
Then eat some greasy food, it will help coat your stomach a bit.
Then start trying to rehydrate with gatorade/vitamin water/propel/etc.
The next part is my own trick, don't necessarily advice it, but always makes me feel better. I try to get in some intense cardio and sweat it out, usually a hard run or spin class. Note you have to monitor your hydration very carefully if you try this, as both cardio and heavy drinking tend to deplete to body. But still, if I can stomach the workout in the first place, by the end I am back to my normal self and ready for another go round.0 -
Whataburger and a Bloody Mary. Did the trick yesterday! :drinker:0
