To everyone out there I'm wondering how you did? Or how you think you did? With the food the exercise most of all the goodies? I want to hear from as many people as possible! I'm curious to see if I'm alone or if others can relate? So you have a min please share with me your ups and downs from Christmas so far. Thank you in advance.

So far I have stayed the same...WHEW!!! It has been so dang hard at times, but then I can picture Bob & Jillian from BL asking me......Is it worth all the hard work you've done to blow things now??? Then I decided the satisfaction of watching the scale go DOWN is more satisfying than the brief moment of sweet weakness...So, seeing the big picture and striving to reach my goal, has saved me lots of heartache and stuffing of my face

OMG! I ate so much! It's almost like I didn't even try! Too much candy and cookies and other goodies so readily available. I had told myself I would be good, only a taste of something that looked interesting. I lost count of how many cookies and pieces of chocolate I ate today, and how much good food I piled on my plate...turkey, mashed potatoes, etc. etc.

BUT! Tomorrow is a new day, fresh, and clean with no mistakes in it....and I WILL get back on track.

I weighed in this morning and am up 5 pounds since my last weigh in...I was wearing my pajamas (that accounts for 1 pound) and had not eliminated entirely (gone #2) when I weighed in this morning (there's another half pound or so) and I had a lot of salt yesterday so I may be retaining water...yeah, maybe I'm reasoning it all away to not take responsibility for the fact that I haven't been on track lately..

I indulged in A LOT of snacks at work and yesterday and today I allowed myself to have whatever I wanted, knowing that tomorrow I must get back on track. Yesterday I had a multigrain bagel for breakfast, and when we went out for lunch I got grilled shrimp, scallops, and chicken over rice pilaf, limited myself to one cheesy biscuit, and had water to drink...today for dinner I had two manicotti shells, a very small piece of steak, a very small piece of salmon, some antipasto salad, bread, stuffed acorn squash, and roasted fall vegetables...I ate more than and I should have, and I also had some cookies and other goodies, but other than that, overall I didn't do too terribly today...I know I went over my calories (by a lot) but I have faith that tomorrow I can get back on track...

I am so proud of myself... I had 3 good meals.. and dessert.. and still had 20 calories left over. I always go over my proteins although I have given up most meats.. I eat fish and once in a while chicken.

Yesterday and today were full of socializing and several parties, surrounded by friends and family, and everyone brought some sort of fancy treat... so yeah, completely overdid it, especially yesterday. Tomorrow, getting right back on the horse!
  • For the last three days I have overate and under exercized.

While I am ashamed to admit that, I am hopeful for the days ahead.

I joined the biggest loser challenge that starts jan. 1st. So even if I don't get on track until then,
I plan to go full force on the 1st , and every day after.

I had lost 6 pounds since I started with mfp in late Nov. But I fear I've gained most of it in just days.
I refuse to weigh myself until the 30th when I am supposed to for the start of the challenge.

To all out there that have overeaten the past several days......
    ......DO NOT GIVE UP!

If I can stay strong so can you!

as of now, it's looking like I went 1,000 calories over (including my exercise calories!!) HAHA, but it's okay, it's just one day, I'll work out extra hard tomorrow and this weekend at the gym!

No Biggie, I'm not to worried about it....
  • Atleast you had exercise calories...I sure didn't and went close to 1,000 over. Oooops. There is always tomorrow.

Ate like a little oinker piggy and don't care, had a blast and a beautiful Christmas with family and friends. I'll skip my weigh in tomorrow, I don't even wanna know. Tomorrow is a new day, I'll get right back in the groove. Maybe this broke my frustrating lil' plateau.

Well I went way over like I knew I would but I am content with just knowing that. Plus tomorrow is a new day and I am ready to get started!! My calorie count is probably way off and I am already 1600 over!

I didn't count calories today but I didn't do too bad. I went to my daughter and son-in-law's for dinner and didn't have seconds, except for the deviled eggs. I had two of those. For desert I had one small piece of cheesecake. Tomorrow's my official weigh in so I'll see if I lost any weight.

Ate cookies and candy like they were going out of style-- tomorrow is another day. I get back on track tomorrow, and don't stop till goal.

I didn't do bad at all. But I give myself permission to have a day here and there to not worry and just go with the flow. I didn't count calories but didn't go crazy either. I had a tiny sliver of pie.

It was a quiet Christmas at home though so that helped I am sure! Now, i will prepare for the party I am going to on New Years!

I am heading out to the gym soon! And I had a great workout on Christmas Eve too.

I made spinach dip (NO lf stuff all HIGH fat!! ) and ate way too much of it!!

It was good....My famly had fun....it was Christmas.

Funny thing is, my choices were so different. We had stuffed cornish game hens, 2 fresh veggies and I forgot to buy rolls!! (:grumble: )

I had the spinach dip in a pumpernickle bread bowl and we tore of peices of that to go with dinner!!

I have no idea what my calories were, because I did not count a single one!!

    NOW...back to the gym I go!!:drinker:

Well, I broke even weight wise!! I didn't weigh yesterday (my normal weigh-in)......but just weighed. It was after the gym and I drank a ton of water at the gym.......and my weight is the same as it was last Thursday.

So, that's cool! Still 5 lbs from goal but these 5 lbs will probably take forever to come off anyway, so I am fine with it! Like I said, I didn't go NUTS yesterday but didn't watch every little thing either!

    Breaking even is good!

Yesterday I didn't count, but I really couldn't fit enough food in to really go overboard. When we sat down for Christmas dinner I had ham (lots) about a 1/4 cup of okra (YUM! Favourite food), and a roll. The rest of the day I ate pretty light. I had a few chocolate/snack items but probably didn't add up to 300 cals total. I had peanuts when I got home last night though, because they were in my stocking and I had the munchies! :grumble:

All in all, I am proud of myself. I'm not stressing, I'm sure I went at least 800 - 1000 cals over, but so what? Today I am right back on track and I am not tempted to stray back to my old ways.

Oh! And my mom and I are doing this together, so inspired by the Christmas then and now pictures that were popping up we took a Christmas picture together. We plan on taking on next year and being at our goal weights (or close). Yay! We shall be sexified! :drinker:

I went over by at least 1000 calories 12/24 and 12/25. I won't weigh myself until12/29, which is my weekly weigh in day BUT...I'm on vacation next week, so I won't officially weigh in again until 1/05/09!!

It's a ski vacation and we do ski ALL day and I will have my new HRM, so I think I'm all good for the trip...

    We shall see!

I went way over yesterday:ohwell: And now I have another 2 days worth of leftovers!:grumble: Then by the time we finally eat all that up, it will be New Years Eve (also my birthday:happy: ) so I dont plan on weighing myself again until the 30th which is when I HAVE to for the BL challenge on here. If not for joining that challenge, I swear I wouldnt weigh again til about a week into 2009!!
Congrats to those of you that did really well and those of you that even managed a loss!!:flowerforyou: :drinker: :drinker:

Shoved food in my mouth all day to keep it shut from saying bad things to family members. I don't even want to know how I did. :noway:

BUT, it was only one day. Today I'm doing much better & the rest of the week wasn't too bad, either.

Now, to conquer New Year's Eve! :drinker:

    Oh wow!

My mouth has not been vacant for 48 hours. I went nuts.

Today I'm trying to get back but there's a German day after party tonight, a Hanukkah party tomorrow night, ... then New Year's Eve and Day.

I'm tired of running a gauntlet. I want it to be January 15th and have healthy eating be popular again.
