Taste ah-mazing and I love the chocolate or apple/cinnamon ones. But are they actually bad for you?

  • muffins? usually yes because they use large amounts of oil/fat and sugar. however, it is possible to find healthier ones - usually by adjusting recipes to use less oil, mashed bananas instead of flour and alternative flavourings. you can make "healthy" muffins such as savoury ones for breakfast or to go with soup :)

    try looking up recipes online.

but hey, everyone can enjoy a muffin every so often!

I love muffins... I'm currently trying to recreate the pear vanilla muffin from second cup... because almost 500 cals for a muffin that tastes that good will be a huge problem for me.

Cooking Light has a delish (sounding, I haven't made yet) bacon and cheddar muffin that is 150ish cals.

Also, if you like sweet muffins people on here rave about Vitatops. They're loaded with good for you stuff and 100 cals, I think?
