I live in a very old house, my husband and I have worked hard at getting stuff done in the house but right now I feel like all my time is being taken up with destroying the ridiculous amounts of crickets getting in the house. The basement is old concrete and so there are cracks there but they are getting into the upstairs part of the house. I have sprayed crawling insect repellent around the outside of the house to no avail! I am going to lose my mind if I can't make them stop chirping!! If you know of any home remedies please let me know!!!

Borax! Mix it with cornmeal and sprinkle it around the foundation of the house. You can also leave it in corners of the basement in the same way.
Btw.... its poisonous to kids and other pets so only do this if they cant access it.

Frogs eat crickets. Amusement for kids and animals. Everyone wins.

We used to put out those sticky mouse traps by the base boards where the kids and pets couldn't get to them. The crickets crawl or hop on to them and get stuck. Then when they are full throw it out. Hope this helps.
