Ok, I have been wanting a Polar F6 HRM for a long time now. But my oldest son bought me the Polar F4:happy: Im not real sure what the differences are between the two...but the F4 seems (according to the booklet) to do what I want an HRM for anyway. So does anyone know what the difference between the F4 and the F6 is? Has everyone that has an F4 have good results and good things to say about it? Thanks in advance for your input!:flowerforyou:
P.S. This one DOES have a chest strap transmitter thingy...I mention that because I did a search on MFP here for F4's and alot of people were saying that they DONT have one? So anyway, mine DOES.

I have no idea, I just wanted to say YAY! I'm assuming this is the boy that likes to watch football in near-death conditions? :laugh: What good sons you have! :flowerforyou: Enjoy your Christmas gift!0

You can go to the polar website and compare the models to see what the differences are, but I think (I'm not sure) the major difference is that with the F6 if you go to a gym and other people are using the same one there is no interference.0

Yes, thats the one thing that I keep reading about it. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it lol because I would LOVE to be able to join a gym!) I dont belong to a gym right now, so hopefully it will work out fine for now:drinker:0 -
Ok....admit it....your wearing it NOW arent you??0

I've been using the Polar F4 for over a year now and I still love it. It does have a chest strap. My husband has the same one for men and it has a chest strap, too. He likes his as well.
We both wear our HRMs at the same time working out next to each other on equipment at the gym. We don't have any problem with crossed signals. So I wouldn't worry about that as an issue with the F4.
I'm wearing mine right now since I'm on my way to the gym any minute. I'm sure you'll find the F4 easy to use and will be totally addicted to it! Enjoy!0 -

LOL Jeannie:laugh: Actually no, Im not though. Ive got stitches from last Saturdays surgery right on my chest exactly where the strap is supposed to go:ohwell: Im just dying to try it out though, so I been thinking I might just throw a bandage over the stitches and try it anyway:smokin: They arent that sore anymore, I just dont want to mess anything up:grumble:0 -

Digging= a LOT
Moppiing= can put me into the 75%
Lifting weights= 20 minutes 70 cals
Cardio= same time 20 minutes and 90% 200 cals.
So much FUN!! I just LOVE knowing!
