It's been a while since I'm been on MFP. and a lot has happened in my life since then as well. I got a divorce and I moved to California and have been dating someone new for a little over a year now. Life is great but my body is not!! Last time I was on MPF I weighed at 166lbs (i started at close to 180lbs) and now since I left MFP and stopped working out/calorie-counting etc, I've gained weight. I'm sitting at about 172-175lbs now. Slowly creeping back up there. ACK! My boyfriend is himself also overweight and that doesn't help very much. He constantly talks about losing weight but it doesn't seem like he wants to put in the effort to do It. I need to stop waiting around for him to join me and just focus on myself. I do NOT want to go back to being over 180 lbs, that was awful. I am only 5 foot tall, by the way.

There are some differences in my life as well as compared to before which makes this a little more confusing/harder for me. For example when I started MFP and PX90 (where I went from 188 to 166) -- I wasn't working at all, I was able to work out an hour a day at home. That was easy! But NOW, I'm working full time 40-50 hours a week plus travel (almost 45 minutes each way there and back for work) so most days I'm gone from 8am-8pm, and by the time I get home I'm exhausted. I really don't want to work out. I know I still CAN lose weight without working out -- just takes longer (calorie counting) however, with my job can be active. There is some walking involved (not brisk of course) so I kinda consider that my "workout" for the day. Probably only 300ish calories lost though. Better than nothing I suppose.

Ive decided to set myself at 1700 cals a day to start.... I was doing 1500 back then with PX90/MPF but its been almost a year and half since I quit. So I've probably been consuming 2000-2300 a day this past year, so i think 1700 is a good place to start. Ive been doing that last 5 days and Ive met calorie limit each day and I feel great about it. I'm really motivated to get back into losing weight!! My ultimate goal is 115-120lbs!

Anyway, Thanks for reading! Feel free to add me as a friend ;)

Welcome back! Life happens. Coming back is the first step towards your goal! Glad to see you on here.
  • Welcome back!
  • it sucks having a boyfriend who isn't able to support you with your weight loss.
It's great that you're taking matters into your own hands!

I think the difficulty I have with my boyfriend is he can eat anything and loves to eat very rich and decadent foods - it's hard for me to go out and watch him eat a big bowl of pad thai without wanting one myself!

    Anyway good luck!!! :)
