Really Frustruated!

I have started to lack motivation & feeling all frustruated. I had started my weight loss journey with a lot of positive hopes. But its been 1 month & I dont see any results. I eat a normal healthy diet most of my life. 99% of the time it's fat free & sugar free. & I also go for brisk walking for an hour since last month. Even though the scale shows 1 kg decrease, it goes back up to the old weight most of the time.
I work long hours that gives me less time to spend on exercise & diet.. But I have been doing my best to at least maintain a 1 hour brisk walking almost everyday.
I have PCOS that is making it even more tough for me to loose weight.
When I see people with my similar exercise & diet routine loose weight easily, I get really demotivated & feel like crying out. I have been heavy since I was 16 years of age & it just gets worse. Now i m 27 yrs old & still heavy. Plus I m frustruated, feel miserable & out of all motivation!
I need your support to keep me going.

I also have PCOS. It is really hard, but you can't compare yourself with other people. I follow the MFP goals and try keep my carbs low and stay at or under goal on sugars. Even still, my weight comes off slowly. I stay at the same weight for a month or so and then lose a few pounds. It is a slow process, but very worth it. Just stick with it.0

I understand your frustration, I'm been there. I'm 49 and still losing weight. It sounds like you need to mix your workout up a bit. Walking is a great exercise, but try including weights. There are many great DVD's out there that you can do in the privacy of your own home. Jillian Michaels has plenty of good ones really inexpensive that you might want to try out. You can start off with light weights or no weights at all and gradually increase weights. You will find that you will start burning fat really quickly. I wish you the best. Don't ever give up!!!! You can do this!0

KEEP AT IT!!!!
It takes a lot of time and every person's body is different.
If you want faster results, there is only one way to do it: MORE CARDIO
Nothing worth having is easy. I know you don't have a lot of time, but neither does anyone else. Get up earlier and go for a jog before work. If you want it badly enough, you'll find the time. Stop making excuses for yourself!0 -
I also have PCOS diagnosed 2 years ago. I know it is tough & in fact I was struggling with my weight since I was 15 & I was in yo-yo weight stage for more than a decade & I never thought that I could lose this much weight. Don't lose hope, just think positive. I didn't let my PCOS, diabetes, hypertension etc. ruin my life & just focused on my goal. Do it one step at a time, you cannot lose weight that easily. You only have been doing this for a month. It takes time so be more patient. It took me several months to be able to see some results. I was there before, struggling with my weight, started out then eventually plateaued for 4 months but I never stopped until I finally able to reach my goal. If I was able to do it so can you. I repeat, YOU CAN DO IT!
EDIT: By the way you're 5 years younger than me & I'm already 32, at the stage wherein I lose some lean muscles & I'm supposed to have a slower metabolism than you are. But here I am, now at my healthy range. Just be positive. If anybody can do it so can you. Cheer up0 -
Please don't give up! I have been logging in and keeping track of my food and exercise for 42 days and I have only lost 3 lbs. I felt the same as you at first, but we have to keep going. This is a life journey and we can't expect to change over night if we are to keep it long term. One thing I suggest to start with is to purchase yourself a heart rate monitor so that you can log your exercise calories based on your own statistics. I noticed that I was relying on what MFP has for calories on certain activities and it's not the same for me based on my personal stats. The MFP totals are just to give you an idea but to be more accurate, you need to be able to log on your own personal readings. I realized just in 3 days I have been monitoring my calories with my heart rate monitor that I was over estimating on how much I was burning and probably was going over my calorie allotment because of it. Now I am adjusting my food intake based on my own performance burning calories. The other thing I was going to tell you, don't compare yourself to anyone on this program, you are unique and what works for others may not work for you. Don't rely solely on the scale, there are many other non-scale victories (NSV) that you can feel good about without basing it on numbers. There are many factors that cause us to be overweight, and also many factors that contribute to our weightloss, don't leave any of those behind. Stay focused on your goals and make sure you have goals that are not based on scale numbers. Hope this helps!0
