Glasses on Guys? A go or no-go?

Glasses are very sexy. But not ALL glasses and not on ALL men!!
Nothing wrong with reinventing yourself, but if your vision is fine............why glasses? New hair cut, clothes, car, bike...........etc
Whatever makes you happy tho! :bigsmile:0 -
YUM. :smooched: I am a fan of man specs.0

For most of the time that I have known my man, he's worn contacts. I always enjoy when he wears his glasses.
Oh... And allow me to clarify.. I like his prescription glasses. Not his military issue glasses! Haha! He can keep the BCG's!0 -
Seriously? You are considering buying and wearing glasses that you do not need to correct your vision? I am starting the paperwork to revoke your man card and handbook. If you are going to buy glasses that you don't need, make sure you pick some out that coordinate with your manpurse and shoes.
Have I told you today how much I love you..LOL..I 100% agree..ridiculous..SMH

If I met a cute guy with glasses, and then discovered he didn't need glasses, I'd dump him so fast he wouldn't know what hit him.
It's lying. Straight up.
Get decent shades. Heck, even get a cute pair of "computer glasses", which do help with eye strain while working on a PC... look cute in those. But don't fake bad eyesight. It's just wrong.
Also, I make my DH take his glasses off to kiss me, as they poke. I'd prefer it if he didn't need them.0 -
I think it's silly to wear glasses if you don't need them.
Me too. At some point someone will ask you whether you're long or short sighted. I think I know how I'd feel if my response was "err...well they're not real glasses, I just like wearing them".
Having said that, if it's what you want to do you should do it0 -

This.
I know lots of guys who look great in their glasses. If you regularly wear contacts and want to give your eyes a break, that's one thing. But wearing glasses just for the look is kinda like walking with a cane because you think it makes you look fashionable.0 -
I wear glasses, but they just seem to make me more repulsive0

I'm torn on this...
I like men in glasses (and men without)
I think you'd look good in glasses (as well as without)
I think if I met you in a bar, wearing glasses, and then found out they weren't prescription but just for show I'd find it odd.
So, my initial reaction of "Heck Yeah, fun!" i'm second-guessing.... hrmmm....0 -

Tough crowd here
I decided to go for it. Health insurance covered about 40% of the frame, even though the lenses aren't prescription. I think it'll be nice to change up my look a little bit. I should also do something w/ my hair. Considering I've gotten the same haircut since I was 5.
Would you *really* dump a guy if you found out his glasses were non-prescription? That seems harsh!0 -

That said, of course the immediate responses to a post are generally in the affirmative; after details come out [not needing a prescription, etc.] the detractors get involved. That's just the ways of internet forums. If this post went on 15 or 16 more pages, according to Godwin's Law, someone would call someone else Hitler. You can't argue with facts.I should also do something w/ my hair. Considering I've gotten the same haircut since I was 5.
Luckily, facial hair grows quickly, so play around with it.

As someone with wicked, wicked bad eyesight (haven't been able to see the E on the eye chart without glasses since I was about 8, been wearing contacts since I was 11), I would personally be annoyed and a little offended if a guy I was dating wore glasses just for fashion. It's taking something that's a medical necessity and making it an accessory. Like I said before, it would be the same as walking with a cane to look sophisticated. Or putting your arm in a sling for sympathy. How about some cool knee braces to look like Stone Cold Steve Austin?0

No, but speaking as someone who needs them pretty much all the time, It'd raise my eyebrows a bit.0
