is it typical for your fat areas to get like squishy-er as you lose weight? my belly area seems a little saggier and more squishy than it was before losing 30lbs. my thighs seem to be doing it too...

I am not sure but I am with you on the squishy. Tina the talking tummy seems pretty squishy as of late.0

Different parts of my body slimmed down at different rates. Just be patient, everything will catch up.0

Typically when you lose weight, you lose fat but you also lose muscle. If you're not already, add strength training to your exercise plan and that will help!0

Ahh, the dreaded loose skin. It will get better with time, but your body needs time to adjust to not having all the fat stretching it out anymore. After 2 babies and being obese for more than 5 years I have a saggy tummy, but it is getting better.0

I've noticed this too, I hope it goes away. :ohwell:0

thanks everyone....i was worried about the loose/extra skin thing, but my son is only 7 months and i gained 80lbs while pregnant and lost 90 so my skin is probably in major shock.....0

I am no scientist but my THEORY is that as you are building the muscles they are becoming less marbled with fat, so you have your leaner "meat" (muscle) and then the fat is more on the surface, so it more apparent. It is just a stage, keep at it and the fat will lessen too0
