Hey everyone!

First of all, keep up the good work all!! It's such great motivation to read about REAL people who've lost weight and gotten healthier! It's so nice to see how people who are complete strangers to one another is posting words of encouragement and advice to help each other out!

I've started a 12-week Biggest Loser challenge that is sponsored by our city (Long Beach, CA). By the end of 12 weeks, my goal is to lose 15-20 lbs. My problem is eating better! I have a sugar and carb addiction that is hard to kick! If anybody has pointers on how to kick this habit, please help! Also, if anyone knows of a natural, healthy detox recipe, please share!

Thanks everyone!~

  • A two day veggie juice fast with cure your craving for sugar. I know because I've done it. If you do it, you must remember to juice your own veggies.

P.S. I won a BL contest once -it was sponsered by my employer and I rocked it!

My advice for kicking the habit- if you don't buy it, you can't eat it. Keep your "trigger" foods out of the house. Sounds simple, but its effective.

I say dont deny yourself carbs completly just control it. Packaged food is not the best option but granola bars, nutrigrain, special K cracker chips and the like can help you have portion control. sometimes you need to let yourself have a little because believe me when you dont you fall hard when you go off your plan. Remember it is a lifestyle change not a RACE to lose weight. So think about what you are putting in your mouth but dont deny yourself.
