fruits and veggies- help!!!

I'm a little confused, the food chart says we should eat five fruits and veggies a day. When I do that I can stay at my calorie goal , but my Sugar level on the nutrient details page goes way up in the red.So is it suposed to be five of each or a combo of five?- like two fruits and three veggies. When I eat less fruit my calories are two low and have to eat filler foods to reach my goal, plus my fiber intake is to low. Any input would be helpful.
