I started each day over the holiday eating healthy, and then blew it all by the evening - when the junk food came out!
I've put 4lbs on, and feeling really cruddy about it
Just don't seem to manage healthy food choices and will power this week :grumble:

How's everyone else doing ?

Jackie, I'm so sorry you're feeling cruddy. :flowerforyou:

I allowed myself 2 days (Christmas day and the day after) of not watching my calories, completely stress free. I put in what I ate and I went over 800 the first day and 200 the second. I also haven't exercised for about a week now, with the hectic holiday stuff. :blushing: But TODAY I am back on track. I had a very reasonable breakfast and am gearing up for my workout right after I submit this post.

I am also not weighing myself until Jan 5. Yesterday was my normal weigh day and I just said NO to the scale. It would have just brought me down. I have a goal to be 210 by Jan 5, and I'm pretty sure I can make it.

So put the scale away (Where are your stick notes?! ) and just do it. Slip back into your healthy routine and don't stress about the 4 pounds.

**On a side note, if you had ham for Christmas dinner, or anything else with a lot of sodium - it is very likely a lot of those 4lbs are water weight! So drink drink drink! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

I had chicken for christmas dinner, and a lot of chocolate (sweets & biscuits), so I probably counteracted any water weight :grumble:
I'm just gonna enjoy the rest o this evening, and get back on track tomorrow - no point beating myself up over this any longer, only gonna make myself feel worse.

I'm doing awful too  . I know this is the only time of the year when I go home & splurge. I got a wii fit and it keeps telling me that my weight has changed since the last time i used it, which is usually a few hours between each time  . Don't worry, I think probably the large majority of us are going through the same thing. I think the important thing is that we are aware that we are over eating & eating unhealthy. Just stay away from the scale until next week or when your holiday break is over & try and keep the treats to a minimum ( i should take my own advice :noway: ) We're going to kick butt when this nightmare is over hehe!!

Don't worry Jackie! There's a bunch of us who are in the same boat as you are! It's just too tough during the holidays with all the goodies to NOT go off track!
I myself have had tons of chocolate over the last several days. I'm just not going to weigh myself or worry too much about it till AFTER New Year's Day. THEN I'll get right back on track and lose the rest of the weight that I want to.
