OK..Heres my question..When I joined this site it was totaly by accident that I found it but very glad that I did..Anyhow..Should I put my starting weight in my weight goal tracker from the time I started this site or from the time I started losing weight 2 years ago?? I have lost a 102 lbs in 2 years..Its amazing I've lost a whole person..Just not the person that likes all the junk food.. I just dont want to feel like I'm cheating in someway or something..Please let me know what you think..Because I am so very proud of myself..I want to show it off but dont know if I should put it in my weight loss tracker..Thanks for the input..

If you lost it, be proud of it! Show it off on your ticker!

i think you should totally show how far you've come!
  • By all means that is something to be proud of. Congraulations on your loss. Stories like that help the rest of us. That helps us to know we can do it too. So keep up the good work.

    Hi Dana:flowerforyou:
I struggled with that very decision when I first joined MFP...but I decided with the help of some other buds on another list that I should be proud of my hard work and count it from when I began instead of starting over here.

I know some chose to begin anew here...perhaps if I'd lost 5 lbs. or something...but it was definitely something I struggled with....I still deal with shame of my ticker even to this day...I sometimes get caught up in how much I lost as how much I used to weigh....and don't see it as weight lost to be proud of....... I am proud I got my brain and body in gear and back on the healthy living track but it's something I guess I will work through in time.

When I look at my own pictures over time....there are many many MANY times I don't see a chance.....weird as I see others changed at 20lbs....so one would think I would notice a change in my photos:huh: :noway:

I think that's how many of us are though.... but I DO see physical changes in clothes, strength, endurance, breathing, working out....all those things.... so my head is still a bit mixed up on the photo deal........oh well, we're all a constant work in progess...that too shall work itself out I'm sure!:drinker: :blushing:
