Ok, so I have decide I need to shake things up a bit and try a new eating plan. I have been on the low cal, low fat cycle for a long time and nothing is happening. I am a carb ADDICT!!! I have decided I want to try something that is carb restricting but not no carb. I know the whole theory behind a balanced diet and will not do any plan that restricts all carbs so I want to just do limited carbs. I don't need lectures about how this will only be a short term fix and that I may lose alot to start but will never stick with it. I am aware of the risks but as a 5'2" woman who is 39 years old , who works out at least 5 and usually 6 days a week and weighs 277 pounds I need to change something because I am not losing on the current plan, and I am seriously considering surgery( and I DO NOT want to do that!!) Anyone have any suggestions on some books I could read regarding some different lifestyle plans?

Look at the South Beach Diet if you want to limit carbs (but as a carb addict myself, I can't do it-turn into a raging beotch and eat my weight in other foods because I'm so unsatisfied) or look at the Flat Belly Diet. It's more sensible to me and is a sustainable change. Good luck. Remember, you need good fat and alot of "low cal/low fat" processed foods are loaded in junk you don't want. Also, healthy carbs (you know the drill, fruits, veggies, whole grains) are good for you!0
