When my daughter was 3 she asked me why I had so much fat in my tummy?...Um I had you!!
Then to top that off she was poking at her dad's "love handles" and said "hey you got jello in there"
Oh and she also comments on my stretch marks!

My kids never said anything until I started losing. A few weeks ago my 9yr old daughter said, "Mommy you look so good now. I hope that doesn't make you mad." She was worried because it might make me feel bad about how I used to look.

The funniest thing I ever heard was my boys telling "Your Momma's so fat" jokes to each other. They didn't mean anything by it they heard their friends do it so they started. When I walked around the corner they looked like they'd die! So, I shot off my own momma joke and they fell down laughing!

My 4 year old asked my friend if she was pregnant because she has a big fat belly. Yeah....

She also told me once that I wasn't jumping as fast as the ladies on the Turbo Fire video.

My kids and nephews got a good laugh when they noticed my underarm jiggle...and I don't even have big arms. But they thought it was hysterical and poked at it to see it jiggle some more. :S

When my daughter was 4, she drummed on my butt and said how big it was. And that was 18 years ago when I was within weight range!
Recently my 25 year old son said to my husband..."Uh oh, mom's lost weight and dyed her hair, she's having an affair!" He was just teasing and I'm not, but I thought it was funny.

My girls age 6 and 4 where at a party with me last week and a very over weight person was there and my girls asked me why that lady didn`t work out like I do because they could tell she needs to work out. I was very glad that they said this to me in a soft voice as I would have hated for that person to hear the comment even though it was truely genuine. ( my answer was its her choice to make not ours and both girls where happy with that answer and went about playing ) I was super proud that they noticed that I workout to stay healthy so I do know they pay attention to what I do.

    I wouldn't last a day as a parent! LOL
  • My husband is very skinny, so my son always comments on how much more soft and comfy I am! Haha at least I get all the cuddles!

My 5 year old was hugging me and being sweet, "I love your hair momma, I love the way you smell, I love your hair, I love your jiggly tummy."

My son never commented when I was overweight, but now that I'm reaching the healthy zone, he keeps asking me "Mummy, where did your fat tummy go?" And then I do a big slouch so my rolls show up just to make him giggle. This whole weight loss journey has given me lots of opportunity to talk with him about eating healthy and not eating too much junk. He also loves to race, and now we run around the block racing each other.

Right after I had my son, my daughter (22 months old) spent a good hour with my poking my belly fat in and laughing hysterically when it popped out again. Thanks honey.

My kids used to say i was 'curvy' which roughly translates to morbidly obese, they also call my 400lb friend curvy, in fact they call all my fat friends curvy, because they were raised 'if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all'. Now i've lost almost 6.5 stone they say i'm skinny, but the best bit was 'we can get our arms all the way round you to hug you now mum'... That made my day :) Heck it made my life lol x

My 6 year old says I'm sexy. Where he learned that I will never know. But the other day we were at the water park with my sister and he said she was huge especially her hips, then he turns to me and says you mommy, your sexy.

Haha, that is exactly what I was thinking. That or he'd be crying when I explained genetics to him.

My eight year old was lying with her head on my stomach, jabbed me with a finger and said, "Daddy, your hipbones make a lousy pillow."
I'm going to buy her a new bike, and have Justin Bieber deliver it now.

Years ago my son overheard me say I was fat, he said, " Mom, your not fat..you're husky...LOL

More recently.. I was standing in the kitchen and my son walked in. He's 19. I went to walk by him and he says, "Wait, I need a hug" So I hug him and start to back up..he says " I'm not done yet..Wow Mom..you are losing so much weight and getting all skinny, I can get my arms way around you and hug you so much easier" Awwwwwww..*sniff...FYI..FAR from skinny..but still :):)

    That's so awesome.

My 6 year old poked my tummy and asked "why does your tummy look like that and how come it jiggles" Sigh. Luckily I had just given birth to her baby brother a few months prior and was able to blame it on him. Poor 2 month old couldn't defend himself

Not really, but I love this one.

When he was four, he came in my room asking me where a certain super hero was.

I was only wearing undies 'cause I just got out of the shower and was getting dressed.

He looks at me, sighs a loud sigh, and says "Mom, put those things away" flicking his pointer and middle finger out at my boobs.

My cat talks to me all the time. It's probably a good thing I can't understand him.
