I'm looking to buy a pedometer to keep track of distance walked in a day...any suggestions on brand or kind before I buy one? Any tips and suggestions are helpful!

Had it for about 3 months... no problems and works great.

I had good experience so far with Omicron and Tanita pedimeters.

This is the one I use and I've had it for a few years: Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer with Advanced Omron Health Management Software. I wear it everyday and it's pretty sturdy and accurate (worth every penny - around $33 on Amazon). I've dropped it a few times and it was fine. The one I had before stopped working when I dropped it. This always comes without the software at a cheaper price.

I have an Omron that seems to work really well.

Do you clip it on, or carry it in a pocket?
I tend to break the belt clips within about a month. . . Yeah I'm pretty tough on the equipment.

Either one. I use the clip but carrying it in your pocket is an option as well. It comes with a security strap also. Check out the link.

I have this one as well and it works great! I have also dropped it many times and it's still working, so its pretty durable.
