I was just wondering what is it like when you reach your goal weight? Do you guys still count cal ? How do you maintain your goal weight? what advice would you give to people after they reach that goal weight ? is hard to keep the weight off ?

I finally reached my goal weight after yo yoing for about 6 years and it was great!!! But I still have to work at it. I count my calories and workout most days but I remember what it felt like at my heaviest and I don't want to go back.
Its been almost a year since I hit it and I can't believe I have mantained it. What has helped me is committing to a healthy lifestyle and helping others. I joined Beachbody as a coach and got certified as a Personal Trainer (not that you have to do that) But it helps me to give back and keep myself in check!!0 -
Hi, Im Sondra and I reached my goal weight in 2002 after a 100LB weight loss. It is definitely hard to keep it off if you dont continue to workout regularly and eat right. Thats why most "diets" fail. I made mine a lifestyle change. People look at me at 113-115 lbs and wonder why im ordering what they consider diet food but to me its just healthy eating in order to maintain my healthy lifestyle. It is so worth it!
With that being said, in maintenance phase, I actually am allowed 1570 calories a day, then after I add in my exercise for that day, I typically am allowed about 2000 calories a day. When eating healthy I can eat all day long and not get to 2000!
Just remember, make changes you can live with and find exercises you love! I enjoy group classes because I have a trainer right there to push me. plus its fun in a group setting.0 -
