Hi,
I used to be hungry about 30 minutes later because i used to eat a sugary cereal I now try and have Wheat & Rye bread toast, it's full of fibre and it will curb your mid morning sugar cravings too.
Hope this helps,
Feel free to add me too.
Regards

I'm like that too. I read in a recent fitness mag that it means your metabolism is working. I hope it's true!0
-
I have this problem too, no matter what I eat for breakfast.0

Yes! If I eat breakfast, I am starving before lunch time rolls around, I've heard that this means your metabolism is working faster. I just keep trail mix and granola bars with me. Some days I am snacking all day long...but I guess it's working. I have lost some weight so far!!0

I have an article I will send you when I get home this evening.....................I was just reading it last night.
but, basically we have been fed a bowl of crap for breakfast by them saying it is the most important meal of the day.................Hog wash!!
Marking so I can send the article when I get home.0 -
So glad I'm not alone. I have been trying hard to eat something when I wake. It's just annoying how hungry I feel. I feel like I have the "munchies" all day long. Doesn't matter fibre, protein, etc. I will just want to eat! Maybe it's a good thing and I should stop complaining.0

Skipping breakfast is not healthy. No food for 8+ hours of sleep and then trying to get your metabolism going on nothing?? I used to not eat breakfast and when I started I was hungrier....because your metabolism IS working!!!! I focus on having protein at breakfast..egg whites or a protein shake with peanut butter and banana. Protein sticks with me much longer than a carb heavy breakfast like cereal.0

I am never hungry for breakfast. On weekend, I wait until late in the morning to eat. On weekdays, I have a smoothie, if I can get it down, because I don't get to eat anything until noon and I often get really hungry around 10:30-11 if I don't have the smoothie.0

If I eat breakfast I am usually hungry again by mid-morning or so. If I don't, I can go until mid-afternoon before I'm really hungry.
I figure this can't be good for my body so I eat breakfast and just have a snack if I get hungry before lunch.0 -
I have noticed if I eat a hard boiled egg - it doesn't cause hunger later on...weird huh?0

I am eating something small now though. Biggest reason was that I have been trying to increase my calories slowly to be the proper maintenance level. I think I've done it now and am maintaining properly but I think another couple weeks will tell. I'm very unrealistic in thinking I should be exactly the same weight every day.0

All that stuff about it making your metabolism work is hogwash - unless you mean the metabolism of digesting the food, which never really works out for weight loss because you're still getting those calories and you won't burn your own storage if you have a ready source of available energy in your blood already. It doesn't make you burn your own storage any faster (of fat for example, which is what we want).
I'm not saying breakfast is bad, but there is nothing wrong with skipping breakfast especially if you're one of those people who don't feel hungry in the morning. I'm fine with a coffee or tea. It's nice to have those extra hours to burn my own fat for energy before lunch.0 -
I'm never hungry at breakfast.... I mix oatmeal and protein powder in a blender in the morning... I'm full until 11 am... I eat breakfast at 7 am.... if I don't have my oatmeal protein shake in the morning I either end up starving by the end of the day and end up stuffing my face within hours before bed, then I can sleep on a full stomach or I'll end up not eating enough cals for the day after I get out of work and hit the gym. Eating breakfast keeps me feeling "steady" appetite wise and keeps a steady flow of cals throughout the day so that I have an easy time hitting my totals with... but everyone is different, if it works for you, go for it...
typo... "can't" sleep..... I'm a stomach sleeper, so full stomach + laying on my stomach = hard to fall asleep0 -

I do the breakfast thing and it is where I get the majority of my calories, protein and fats. No sugar or processed food is included.
That works for me, but not for everyone.0
