The foods look ok except for the hotdogs YUCK!! I wouldn't put that processed crap in my body, Exchange it for fresh chicken.

You might get short term results, but it won't be sustainable and it would get pretty boring after 3 days.

10lb is all relative to what weight you started at?

I doubt I would lose 10lb doing that in 3 days! (I'd be pretty damn hungry tho!)
  • Plug those foods into your diary. I'd be willing to bet its 600 calories a day or less. Of course you'll lose weight - its water weight and it will come right back.

And you'll be hungry as s. Don't waste your time and just eat right!

I did it. I lost like 6 pounds in 2 days but at the end of the second day my vision started getting dark, I was sick to my stomach, and realllly light headed. I think being a bigger girl is was WAY too few calories/food for me, who knows.
  • tried this diet and only lost like 4 lbs and i didnt like the food.... it got really boring after day 1. I hate beets too lol and grapefruit :) u can try it but i didnt lose anything though good luck :)

you have to take a i think its a week break inbetween times, because otherwise your metabolism gets ground down.
if you buy the book instead of just like downloading it, or searching it online..
it coems with details why you have to wait inbetween each time.

This is not enough calories to eat for one. All of your loss will come back quickly because it will be water weight. Plus, you are drinking caffinated beverages several times a day further dehydrating you. This doesn't seem healthy at all...not enough calories for a resting metabolism let alone a day when you are exercising.

Your body would get used to the food and you would stop loosing, plus you would probably pass out

Anything that you can't keep up from now on is going to be a temporary result.

Ah this one was publicised in the UK by the british heart foundation to use when going in for surgery and having to lose weight FAST....it was soon shot down by the NHS ' dieticians!

Thank you all. How do y'all stay motivated? And where do y'all work out? I have a small budget which is why I'm trying to find somethin thats cheap and inexpensive to try.

My sister and i did this diet together, and like a lot of others on here said, we both got tired of eating the same thing and was especially hard if you dont like the foods you are supposed to be eating. There was no loss in weight, but we did not stick to it for long, so that could be why.

Online workout videos are free, you can always do the usual running too:) and healthy eating can be cheap!!

I have a treadmill at home, and also do work out videos. My three year old loves to do them with me. Makes me laugh every time.

It is unhealthy, slows your metabolism and all you lose is water weight.

Well, it's not the worst "fad" diet I've seen, at least there is a bit of a balance and it does include fruit and veggies (though I agree with the previous poster about the hot dogs -yuk!). And the fact that you only do it for three days isn't so bad. But do they then suggest that you go back to eating Big Macs and donuts for three days?
If you ate like this I suspect you would lose weight - because you would be restricting your calories severely (my guess is you'd be eating 600 - 800 cals a day.) Eating this low doesn't seem to me to be a good idea unless you are under medical supervision and even then it's pretty drastic..
And really, I just don't see the point. You will be hungry and not have enough energy to exercise. Better to let MFP work out your calories then make gradual changes to your eating habits so you have a long term sustainable way to eat and live so you can not only lose weight but also keep it off (that's the bit I'm having to learn now!)

I usually eat clean but lately we have had financial issues and it is hard to eat what I want but I do the best I can. Frozen fruits and vegges is cheaper and PB great protein. I like making smoothies its pretty cheap too. Just really try and stay away from the processed foods you will be ok

I work out at home, I do have a treadmill but I also do DVD's and walk outside weather permitting. No Gym membership to expensive for me.

    This site keeps me motivated!!

Exercising doesn't have to be expensive. I do suggest saving up some money for good shoes, then once you have them you can run or walk or do workout videos for free. If you have a bike (or can beg or borrow one) cycling is free. There are stacks of free workouts online. I've lost 45 pounds and the only money I've spent on exercise is good shoes and a sports bra. I buy cheap workout clothes and download free apps.
And as for motivation - don't wait till the day you wake up motivated. Just go out for a 20 min brisk walk, eat a smaller dinner tonight and you have already made a start!

Cutting my calories isn't the hard part for me it's staying motivated to excersise ever day or every other day. I just don't know what it is at night I have the most energy and I want to go run a marathon lol bug then the next day I'm just like oh I'll start tomorrow which I always put it off. Or I'll excersise for like 3 days and then just get bored.

If you push yourself 4-5 days a week to do something you will become addicted over time. I am on day 2 off and its driving me nuts but I know I need to rest my muscles and joints. Once you see results in a month or so in inches you won't want to stop.
