will the pain last?

i have just started a strength training program for cheerleading...I did my first workout today and I can already tell that I won't be able to move tomorrow. So here's my question: will it be this painful every day after I lift? I am determined to do this and make the squad, but if I am in this much pain for at least half of the week, is it worth it? Also, if I am in pain, should I be reducing the amount of reps that I do, or wait until my body gets used to it?

It will definitely not last! Drink lots of water and get a little rest. Make sure you do some activity tomorrow- at least walk a little and then do some stretching. It may seem counter intuitive, but working out makes it hurt much less.0
