I study psychology at FSU and plan to go to law school. If you read my profile youll see i used to party hard but was recently forced to.... grow up a little. im now at a point in my life where id like to find one girl, not one girl and all her friends. I have been on countless first dates, most of which are dinner dates and i loose interest before dinner makes it to the table. granted, i cant exactly say i have girls chasing after me cause if i did i wouldnt be posting this. im not looking for marriage any time soon, but itd be nice to find love. im extremely outgoing, make friends every where i go, and im ALWAYS open to new things.

Girls, please describe...

your most fun date
your most romantic date
your worst date
most importantly, what is your ideal first date?

furthermore,

im only 5'6". i would like to find a girl whose 5'7" or shorter. most importantly tho, i want a girl who is NON-MATERIALISTIC, a girl who is ok with going on a run at the park or playing tennis on a first date and then seeing where that leads to. any advice on how to find... HER?

Most fun date: ex boyfriend took me to the museum. we ran around like little kids for hours and played with the dinosaur bones. it was a blast.

Most romantic date: eh, I guess when a guy surprised me by picking me up at my house and took me to see LMFAO earlier this year, because he knew how bad I wanted to see them. He called off work just to take me. And bought us front row seats. Might be the best thing that's happened to me all year. We are friends now. We became FWB for a while, but it just kind of ended. We wanted different things.

Worst date: A guy took me to a restaurant, and before ordering asked the waiter to put it on seperate checks. RUDE.

One I'm adding: date that ended the BEST: one I went on a few days ago with my new uh, thing. he picked me up, we drove around for a coffee shop. decided we'd rather walk around and find one. spent three hours walking around downtown looking at shops and laughing at drunks. we then walked back to my house and sat outside on our cars for another two hours talking about anything and everything.

I honestly think the best date is one that allows you to really get to know a person's personality.

Oh, oh, oh, I lied. BEST date this year: a guy took me to a sports bar called Boston to watch the stanley cup game. <3 (I wanted Boston to win, he didn't.)

Fun Date(Best First date): Honestly, the best frist date I have had is just walking down on the boardwalk. We didn't have to worry about how to split a bill or running out of things to say over dinner. We walked down along the water just enjoying each others company without anyone interupting us. It left the whole date open. If the walk went well we could have done dinner or any number of other things. Yet, we sat on a bench and talked for 6 hrs straight.

Romantic Date: I have to say the most romantic date I went on. Was a surpise date down to the waterfire. It may seem silly because there are like 100 people there. Yet, there are cute little gondla boats. Large pits of fire alit on the water. Yet, it was dark and with someone special all the other people just disappeared. There was cute little chandliers hung under the bridges.

Worst Date: I went to the movies with a group of people. It was a date with a friend of a friend. After we got out because they had bought my ticket and dinner they expected be to want to make out with them or more. >.> biggest turn off ever...

Ideal Date: It honestly would be a nice walk down by the water. I don't need food or movies to be impressed by a man. I look for someone who has a brain and is fun to hang out with, over someone that has money. ^.^

I found my most recent boyfriend on plentyoffish.com it is a free online dating website. It allows you email back and forth like match.com or chemistry.com to get to know people before meeting them.

I've heard SO many people finding significant others there.

Maybe I should try it. [:

    Maybe then I could find my hockey-loving, fitness-oriented, nutritious-eating, sexybot. :D

I've never been on a date but I would just want to go for a casual walk and/or getting a coffee. I think there are alot of girls out there who would prefer this to being taken to a restuarant. There is less pressure easier to relax and be yourself

    Haha.

My only requirements are that they will go to the gym with me, respect my intermittent fasting, and love hockey. <3

my best date: met a girl, would have sworn she mentioned she played tennis. since she was reluctanct to go out with me cause she just got out of a relationship i thought id do something friendly and fun. i told her to meet me on campus but didnt tell her what we were doing. figured id surprise her with game of tennis. we happened to be meeting around the baseball field and as i pulled into the parking lot i noticed there was a game about to start. FSU baseball games are free for students and neither of us had been so we chose to go to the game instead. we shared dippin dots, and i even got one of the players to throw me a ball to give to her!

like i said, im not one for dinner dates, but she said she was hungry. in tallahassee we have a burger joint called munks. all there burgers are kinda wierd, and theyre famous for their bacon swiss burger smothered in peanut butter (clearly not mfp friendly lol).
it was her first time there and she couldnt figure out if she wanted the peanutbutter burger or the burger topped with fried egg, which happen to be my 2 favorite burgers there, so we went halvsies. theyre also the 2 messiest burger and theres no other girl ive met that would have been daring enough to make a mess like what we made at dinner on a first date. its the only time i felt like both myself and the girl i was with were actually being ourselfs!

unfortunately the school semester ended a couple days later, she went home for summer and i didnt. havent seen her since =(

your most fun date- my most fun date has to be with my current boyfriend, i love acting like big kids together and whatever circus is in town we will go together, popcorn candy floss, and Kooing at all the babies. i love it :)

your most romantic date- Romantic hmm, it sounds simple but itll have to be the first night i went over his house whilest he was babysitting, we ended up sleeping together unexpected and soon , but i t was magical.. i didnt end up going home till nearly 3am. just laying staring into each others eyes...Nom

your worst date- The cinema is awkward for first dates.. sitting there trying to act attractive and wondering wether he will grab your hand or not BIG no,no for me! also if the man expects you to pay for yourself! no thanks, a gentleman is sooo hot.

most importantly, what is your ideal first date? I think an ideal first date is fun were you can unwind easy and be yourselfs such as the circus, zoo or funfair/pier :) and instead saving the more intense serious dates for when youve got to know each other more and cba talking to them hahah jokes!

But if its right, itll feel right no matter what you do together :) good luck

So have you found her? Update us

    your most fun date:
My ex made a picnic and we went to the beach.

    your most romantic date:
My ex boyfriend took me to a really nice Italian restaurant. We shared creme burlee. Then we went to the movies and watched Slumdog Millionaire. We did the same thing on our 1st year Anniversary. It was really romantic.

    your worst date:
I had several really bad dates.
Bad date #1: The guy took me to a Thai restaurant. It was very casual, which I thought was cool. He didn't pay for my meal, the total for both was only $20, then asked me if I wanted to come over to his place ... yeah right. I think guys should at least pay for the first date.
Bad date #2: The guy met me at the movies. The whole time while we were watching the movie, which was a movie I wanted to see, he was texting. I found out afterwards he was texting me if I wanted to leave ... why would I want to leave. Then we were talking in the parking lot, and he was asking me if I thought he was better than me. I left and the next day he text messaged me 20 times telling me he couldn't change for me. Really bizarre. I told him if he didn't stop contacting me I would call the cops.
Bad date #3: The guy shows up totally drunk. He then proceeds to tell me that he has a knife. I left.
There are more stories, but I'll just mention those.

most importantly, what is your ideal first date?
If I met this person before and we hit it off, I would love a picnic. If it's someone I'm meeting for the first time, I like restaurants because if it goes bad ... it ends there.

Most fun date: My ex took me to Six Flags Over Georgia for a first date. It was only 3 hours away from our hometown, and we had a blast. The drive down was really fun. We sang in the car most of the way there. He paid for the whole trip including separate hotel rooms for the night (we were way too tired to drive back that evening).

Most romanic date: My husband and I did our 1 year anniversary dinner at the same 5-star steakhouse he took me on our first date. It was wonderful to go back to the beginning and remember how far we have come together and how far we have to go together in life.

Worst date: I have two tied for worst. The first one was a date where the guy picked me up in his mom's 1970-something beetle. The floorboard of the car was rotted out. I could see the road passing under my feet. Then his car broke down in front of the homeless mission. The second was a first date with a guy I had met online. We had been talking for a while, and I was really excited to meet him. He seemed really great. I got there, and the guy looked NOTHING like his picture, but I tried to keep positive and see how things would go. He took me to a little coffeeshop where he proceeded to talk incessantly about himself, how great of a lover he was, and eventually went on to discuss his penis at length. At this point, I just got up an went home.

My ideal first date: I love to do something fun on a first date. It takes the romantic pressure off. You just have fun and enjoy spending time together. Dinner date can be good but can also be a lot of pressure to make small talk.

I highly recommend online dating. I met my husband online. It was so nice to be able to read about someone before showing up for a date. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of dating. You know what hobbies they like, what their religious beliefs are, an other general qualities (assuming they aren't lying). Just don't get sucked into the trap of talking too long. After a few weeks of chatting, if you're interested, ask her out and take it to the real world.
