Measuring yourself!

Options
Sorry. I feel a bit daft!

How do you measure your waist! I ask this because I measured myself today and I am 91cm (lost 4cm in two weeks) this puts me at a 36inch waist. Now I am no way a 36inch waist according to clothes. I am in a UK size 10, which is an US 6. My OH has a 36inch waist and he weighs A LOT more than I do! So am I measuring right????

I don't pull the tape measure as tight as it could go, I measure what I would consider acurately as I don't want tight waistbands (anymore lol)

I always hold mine loosely not tight. Clothes are
Funny because they depend on how the rest of you is plus a lot are made to petite sizing. I'm in aus and jump between a size 12 and a size 14. My tops
are worst going from a 10-14. There are calculators on the net where you put all your measurements in and it gives
you a general sizing for the measurements but again you will still need to
try thing on before you buy.
    Trying everything on firstia
honestly the best way to avoid tight waistbands

Are you measuring round the narrowest point?

I'm in UK size 10 and my waist (narrowest point) is 29 inches... When I was 34 inches I was in a size 14. If you're in UK size 10 clothes I'm sure your measurement is wrong :)
