Hi,
I usually weigh in once per week, been dieting on and off for a while, joined MFP 10 days ago. My 1st weigh in didn't go as well as hoped only 1lb off, but now after 10 days (I weigh in on a Saturday usually) I weighed in this morning (and I try not to midweek HONEST, and leave it to just once per week) and I've lost another 7lb since Saturday. So 8lbs in my first 10 days.
So my question, should I wait til Saturday to weigh in for the 2nd time? Or do some of you weigh in/check in more than once per week ? Should I record this ?
I think I had just 1lb off week 1 as I had a "bad last day of that week". I weighed in Saturday morning, had a really good week then a meal out Thursday night and then I "fell off diet" Friday a bit (after a bad day). I leapt straight back on it Saturday and have been really good since - close to my daily cals amount and exercising too.
So.. thoughts ? Should I record my midweek weigh in or wait ? This wouldn't be a regular thing, before anyone tries to tell that it's not healthy to weigh more than once per week due to weight fluctations, I DO get it. I only had a look midweek, as I was displeased with result after first week (and I was new to all this MFP stuff).
Tell me what you think ??

Personally i would wait till saturday to record it.
I used to weigh every day - trying not to now i am at maintenance - but only recorded my weight on here on the 'official' weigh day.
8 pounds is a great start tho, well done!!0 -
As long as you're using it as *information*, and not as a big stick to beat yourself with if the number goes in the 'wrong' direction the next time you step on the scale I don't see why you wouldn't log it.0

Wait until your regular weigh-in day. It's too easy to get crazy and scale-obsessed if you record your weight more than once a week (or once a month for some people).0

I weigh myself twice a week. Every friday for myself and every morning for a weight loss group i am on facebook.
Good luck:-)0 -
I appear to be a bit of a freak in MFP terms, but I only get weighed once a month! It takes out the daily / weekly ups and downs of water retention, time of the month, 'bad' days, hangovers etc, and gives me a better idea of the overall job I'm doing.
Works for me!
