For some reason I can't seem to get my eating under control!
I started tracking everything and I keep going over! I was even really diligent today and BOOM!
Does anyone else struggle with reigning things back in when they've over indulged a bit?
What are some of the tricks you use to get in the swing of things?

I've had a hard time the past couple days with 1) the holidays 2) stress from my stupid dog & 3) the weather. Crappy weather makes me want to bake & eat & bake & eat.

I think you took the right first approach & started logging again. That way, you can check it over & figure out where you came off track. Tweek your food for the next day a little bit & see if you did any better. Do a little more the next day. Small steps. You can do this, Bunny!

My next step is throwing out all my junk that seems to have found a way into my house b/c of Christmas. Every time I pick up a piece of junk, I'm going to walk over to the garbage can & throw it away instead. Maybe I'll allow myself 1 or 2 a day, but other than that, GARBAGE.

I'm also not buying stick butter for awhile b/c my 3yo sees it & wants to bake cookies with me! How can I say no to that?

*hugs* We've all been there & we're here for you! :flowerforyou:
  • Trust me, you're not alone. I've had a hard time controlling what I eat because of the holidays and junk food. That's why I started this program in the first place...to help me watch what I eat and everything and to loose weight.

my 2 year old loves spray butter everything that is toasted has to have spray butter on it!

I also would say if you go over exercise to get some of your calories back.

OMG, first this is the most awful time of the year for eating's sake, too much temptation out there!

I just have to put myself in my place and quit the crazy. It isn't easy but I am the only one that is going to stop it.

Well, 2 holidays down and one to go! Come on 2009!!!

Hmmm...maybe back to basics? Small plates. Putting down the fork/spoon between each bite & taking a drink of water. Chewing gum. Lots of water to keep you full. (man, I should take my own advice! LOL)
