Hello all! I am new to calorie counting, having always done the South Beach Diet when looking to lose weight. However, I found that giving up bread and pasta for the foreseeable future was not something I could ever live with for very long. And, lets face it, I am pushing 40 and need to make some lifestyle changes rather than just "dieting". So thanks to a wonderful friend and neighbor, here I am, attempting to be accountable for my actions, both good and bad. I think my goal is to lose about 20 lbs, but never having exercised regularly before, I am going to focus less on the scales and more on how I look and feel. I am pushing maximum capacity on my Size 10's and would like to be comfortable in an 8, so we will see where that puts me. If there are any reformed South Beach Dieters out there, or any who are new to exercise or just looking for some support I would love to connect. We are all stronger together!
