My cat, Pikachu the King of Fluff and I are starting a diet.

I told my doctor this plan and she directed me to this site. We both have a whole lot to lose, but I'm super excited to be starting and for this website. I've manged to lose ten lbs this summer and keep it off.
He's manged to gain a pound, but we're moving.

Any tips?

Oh, and I am accepting friend requests.

    Fluff monster!

Drink loads of water, log even when you don't want to, set small achievable goals - it'll make you feel better and more confident when you reach them rather than striving for really high ones, walking is great exercise - stick your music on or an audio book and away you go!

And most importantly KEPP AT IT!!!

    Your kitty is ADORABLE!

Drink lots of water, log all the time (I am guilty of skipping days), experiment, and ask for advice! What works for one person might not work as well for you, so just keep trying things until you find what works the best. It's really easy to get discouraged, but instead of throwing in the towel, come to the forums and chat with people for a while. It REALLY helps to have a huge net of support.

    Welcome to MFP :D

Good luck to both of you. Love your cat picture. I had a cat until recently that I tried to put on a diet. She was an indoor/outdoor cat and would just "supplement" her diet outside if I fed her something she didn't care for. She was a master hunter. May you experience much success. I just joined yesterday. This seems to be a great site!

Thank you and welcome to the site from one newb to another.
I think this site is going to be awesome. ^^

My cat use to get birds, but now he's indoor. He gets downright murderous when I put him on a diet.
If I die you know what happened. >.>
