Anyone believe that it's bad luck to take them down before New Years???

    Mine are down. I went shopping Saturday and when I got home my hubby and kids had already taken them all down.:bigsmile:

    Had I been home to do it, mine would be down today.
    However, I'm not home.
    So DH will do it while he's at home this week.

    Never heard it was bad luck. I took mine down last night. My son told me no normal person takes their tree down until after New Years. Silly boy. :laugh:

    Mine have been down since Friday morning. LOL My dad's b.day is the 30th & I was trained over the years to have all traces of Christmas down by his then. His parents always seemed to forget it b/c of the holiday (plus, he was 1 of 9 & his parents sucked anyways...)

    Soupy has a lecture about it? Can I get that on CD?:wink:

    Well, mine are already down - came down yesterday :drinker:
    I NEVER leave them up more than 2 days after boxing day - I see them as dust collectors by then :laugh:

    I haven't taken mine down yet, I still have presents under tree, so its not so blah! But I do plan on taking everything down tommorrow. Never heard of it being bad luck tho! :smile:

    OH Wait.........I did put a strand of lights on our fake tree (not a Christmas tree just a fake decorational tree we have in the corner of the dining room) :laugh: We couldn't afford much so I just bought a strand of lights for that :bigsmile: :laugh: I had to have something :laugh: :tongue:

    I actually used to decorate my mom & dad's spider plant when they would take too long putting up the real decorations. Used to annoy the junk out of my dad. Good memories. :laugh:

    Mine are still up and will be until my Dad and DD return from their Christmas jaunt to Denmark. We won't have Christmas with my Dad and Bro and SIL until they return, and it's my year to have it. Can't do it with out a tree to put stuff under..... But it will come down shortly after. However, I would love to leave my outside lights up all year round, but my DH is a bah humbug! Oh well, at least he helped me put them up this year! :laugh:

    Second Christmas without my Mom though.....:sad: :sad: :sad:

    Mine have been down since Friday. I can't stand to look at them after Christmas. It just looks like a chore waiting for me.

    My next door neighbors leave them up until Ephipany. We both think the other is nuts. We're probably both right.
