Santa brought me a Polar F6 (thank you SANTA!!) and I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVE IT.
Anyway, I've been using it all week, but I haven't been calcualting my "ownzone". I just picked one of the automatic (medium) ones.
Any vetrans have thoughts on this?
Also, do you try to stay in the zone? I like doing intervals so that my HR goes high, then recover, then high, then recover.
Don't worry, I already shut off that dang beeping

 that beeping was so darn annoying.
but I have the exact question about OwnZone.
Congrats on your HRM!! :bigsmile:0 -
I have had mine for 6 months.....just tried own zone and guess what?? It was exactly the same as the one in the system!!
All that trouble for nothing. The pamplet says if you are sick or changing things up you may want to try the own zone.
Once I did it, I can now click the start button and go right into a work out.
I do what ever I want to with it in the fat burnign mode. My average time in zone is 20 min out of 40. I have warm up and cool down, so I guess that explains to lower end. But I am in the high end for 10-15 minutes. I like intervals:drinker:0 -
I have a Polar F6 and love it, but must admit, I don't understand the Own Zone or how to do it. Help???0

I feel like my OwnZone levels are high...my F6 tells me that for high intensity I should be at 171-188. I consider that to be a little on the high end.
the regular setting for high intensity is like 159-176 or something. Anyway, I figure that if I keep it around 170 for my high intensity, I'm doing rather well.0 -
Hah so is it fair to say that none of us understand or use the Ownzone0

Yes, I think the instruction booklet they give you is very lame. I went online and found out more info on their website, but still not enough to use it to it's potential. I think I will go back to the Scheels where I bought it and maybe someone there can help.0
