It's ALL about the cowboy beans! So tasty- and healthy!!! The best crock-pot recipe yet!
Get a bag of dry beans- the mixed kind (like the 17 bean variety) and put into pot
Add any veggies you want, layering over the beans
Add any spices
Add 6 cups water
Cook for about 6 hours on low and 4 hours on high
1/2 before serving- when beans are cooked, stir in 1/2 cup bbq sauce! (keep in mind there is sugar-free bbq sauce)

Spices are fine....BUT DO NOT ADD SALT UNTIL THE BEANS ARE COOKED. Salt in the soak will make your beans stay hard in the middle.0 -
