So... I have been working out 6 days a week for over 6 months. Been eating organic veggies, whole grains and lean proteins. Watching portions, counting calories and, well, doing EVERYTHING RIGHT. Why no weght loss? For the last 8 months I have been sleeping about 4-6 hrs per night. NOT ENOUGH!!!

Jillian Michael's book stressed the importance of sleep. So, I made the effort to sleep minimum 7.5 hrs, and voila... 4 weeks, 14lbs have just fallen off!! Same exercise, same great diet.

GET YOUR ZZZ'S PEOPLE! Or your diet a exercise are a total waste.

This is quite true, I've heard it and experienced it myself! So wish I could get more sleep, though!

Remember, it doesnt matter WHEN you sleep, as long as you make it consistent. from 11pm - 6am every day, great! 4am - 11 am just as good. Just try to get into a pattern, and stick with it.

Agreed, sleep is so important! I always cringe when someone gives the advice to get up earlier (and therefore get less sleep) to exercise. Sleep is more important than exercise when it comes to weight loss.

I agree completely! I never lose weight when I am short on sleep. I have trouble with it but I aim to get at least 7 hours a night. Sometimes insomnia wins but it's getting better.

Eating Healthy, Working out daily & fixing my sleeping habits... I can do this! lol (wish me luck haha)

I read an article recently that said you should sleep from 10 pm - 6 am or 11 pm - 7 am...been following that recently and I feel so refreshed on days I do do that.

It's a nice idea, but what if you work from 5pm - 2am? I did that schedule, or something similar, for a long time. As long as you get a good, solid 7-9 hours, it shouldn't really matter when you get them.
  • It also can be an issue if you have a 9 month old (like I do). He decided at 5 am this morning that it was time to play...!
