Good Morning! I am a mother of 4 happy, beautiful children and in the 2nd year of my second marriage! I found this site while looking for a food journal and boy am I GLAD, I've spent the last hour just reading all of the support from each of you! I am in dire need of support, for the past year I have been through horrible health problems (that are still with me) and have gained 70 pounds. I realize that my exercise has been severly overlooked but am unable to do anything at this time. I have really bad legs and it is starting to work up to my arms. I currently have 4 specialists working on me and none really seem to know what is wrong. I am depressed, quit a job that I loved (had a really rotten boss) and am in a lot of pain most of the time. I need to find me again, I want to be healthy again, I want to sleep again and be a GREAT support to someone else but right now I can't even see the light at the end of the tunnel. I joined WW 4 weeks ago and each week GAINED instead of losing. I stuck by the points and did everything I could to eat them all. 8 years ago I had weight loss surgery (started out at 346 and lost down to 183) but became sick and a dr put me on steriods. Boy did the weight pile on after that! Is there anyone that may be experiencing the same or similar out there? I wish each of you a Wonderful start to a New Day!

Looks as though you've been through a lot, but we're all here for you! :flowerforyou: You said exercise is difficult because of the pain, have you tried upper body work with like 2 or 5lb dumbbells? That might be something simple like curls and triceps and such that would help work those muscles and keep them strong and healthy. :happy:0

I was thinking maybe you could try some water exercise. I hear it's wonderful for joints and muscles and nerves.
We all understand getting discouraged. But you're definitely going in the right direction. Before worrying too terribly much about weight, maybe just focus on things you can change to FEEL healthier. More water intake? More veggies on your plate? Cut out some processed food that you eat? Little changes, even when our life limits us, can help us feel like we're in control, even when our bodies may tell us in other areas that we're not. I have to do that for me as I have a serious health problem that blows me out of the water sometime.
You'll do great. Welcome and have fun with us. Come here for complaining, crying, laughing, joking, and all around support. We need you as much as you need us.0 -
Thank you to those that responded and gave support! I definitely need it! Luckily today I feel much better and was able to get out and grocery shop. It did wear me out but made me feel good that I was able to get up off the couch and out in the fresh air! I love the tool on this site and hope to get more involved in the posts. Welcome to all of those that have joined in the past few days. I am new to this too! Happy New Year!
