I am currently borrowing a scale from a friend. HOWEVER. it says I am 236 lbs.......and I have NEVER been that heavy >.> what's a decent scale that a broke college kid can afford?

i bought my scale from wal-mart
  • I got a Taylor digital scale from Meijer for $30. I hate the other scales I can never get an accurate reading (but then again I can't hardly see over my huge gut so...)

Downfall, this scale has clocked me in at anywhere from 251 to 258 over the past week. Don't know whether to blame general weight fluctuations or the scale but it seems like a really good scale so far.

I bought a mechanical scale from Ikea: $5. Last time I went to the Dr it was only about 1 lb off her fancy office scale.

Not the digital one from CVS, that's for sure. I just returned mine. In the space of 10 minutes it said I weighed 225, 236, 211 and 215. I have two old mechanical scales that consistently weigh me at 220 and 230 respectively!
