I really want to buy a running watch, but I am so confused!! I am looking at Garmin...305,405,405cx.first of all, does anyone know the difference between the 405 and 405 cx? And what is your best choice for a watch?

    According to a google search, The biggest difference is that the 405CX calculates calories based on HR data. The 405 will only do that with a New Leaf profile.

    I don't know about the upper level ones, but our family all have the 305's and love them. Guess it is how much you want the watch to do for you, but the 305 does all we need, and can be purchased for a very reasonable price through amazon.l

    have the 405cx love it, and got it at a fairly decent price on Amazon. Might be more than I need right now, but i love it as i use it both for running and biking...
