Hi All!!! I'm fairly new on this website...became a member a few weeks ago. My name is Holly and I'm over weight. I am currently working out 5 days a week and eating less than my daily allowed calories, but not less than 1200 a day. I have tired diets, gyms, and other forms of working out in the past and have never stuck with them. My reason for never sticking to them was simple, I either lost motivation, didnt have someone to do it with, or the friend I had as my workout buddy would cheat on her workouts and diets..and i would follow. This time is different. My boyfriend is my new Gym Buddy!! He wants to lose weight with me! That's so great for me! Together we will support eachother at the gym as well as at home. He has said he wants to be a sucsess story. I believe we will be a 'couple succsess story'...we started this journey together and we will continue on our journey together.

Even though I have a good strong family support system. I would like to be friends with as many people I can here on MFP because the more motivation and support a person has in this difficult journey the better the outcome will be!!! I would love any and all support I can get and I will give just as much back!!! I cant wait to start seeing results and in the future be on the look out for the 'couple succsess story' with before and after pics!!!

Good Luck to everyone who is just begining, in the middle, or are continuing their fitness goals!!!

Welcome! Its great to have a supportive partner to help you out, but remember ultimately you have to be responsible for you. Also, I think the best chance of success is to view this as a change in lifestyle, not just a diet. Sounds like you are doing well with the workouts. Make sure to drink lots of water and to log everything you eat. Make sure to add some supportive friends that will both encourage you AND keep you accountable. Good luck with your goals and feel free to add me if you'd like.
