Hey everyone! I am turning to all of you fitness pros for help :-) I had my son on November 22, 2008 via C-Section. I will be 6 weeks post partum on January 3, 2008 (this upcoming saturday). I am starting my new years goals on of course January 1 and am curious of any low impact toning exercises for the abs and any suggestions to easing back into my workouts without putting too much strain on my c-section incision. It takes a long time to heal appropriately so I don't want to do anything that could do damage to it but I also don't want my body to just go and be floppy either...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I never had a c section but I did start sit ups after 6 weeks gradually, I would start with 25 and move up when I knew I could. I did leg lifts while laying on my side I know those are safe. I usually do run and do tapes too and I get yelled at by the Dr. but I heal fast. You know your own body and it tells you when to stop. I think there are at home post baby tapes look some up on the internet. I love home tapes, when baby is napping pop one in. Not a great help but a start....
