Hey guys, I am starting to get back into my morning run routine but before I go I have to eat breakfast. So my question is how long should I wait after eating before I exercise?

30 minutes. But if I know I am working out, I do not eat a heavy meal beforehand.0

Typically, I wait around 40 minutes.0

I usually have a protein shake and wait an hour, I probably could go before, but I don't like to risk getting a stitch.0

I try to wait a full hour if it's a full meal. Most mornings, I just snack on a banana, and only wait 30 minutes. Then I eat the rest of my breakfast when I'm done.0

You can eat right after your workout, wait 30 minutes, wait 60 minutes, or even eat 4 hours later.
Meal timing (even after workouts) is irrelevant. If you feel like eating afterwards then you can do that. If you want to wait until later that is fine too. Both will have the same effect on weight loss or weight gain depending on your goals.0 -
that is a matter of personal preference and comfort, totally depends on you and what type of workout you are doing!0

I have a hard time eating first thing in the morning, but I also know better than to work out without some calories. If I'm doing a morning workout, I'll eat a piece of fruit (easy energy for the body to use), and have a real breakfast after the workout.0
